Using games and entertainment industry design practices, students learn how to create their own characters, environments, and stories that reflect their lived experiences. Give your students fundamental concept art skills that empower them to realize and communicate a world of their own making.
A variety of mix-and-match templates turn our ready-made lessons into self-guided exploratory tools. Let your students follow their passion and provide them with the building blocks to explore their imagination and translate it into tangible works of art.

Emotion visualization

The life blood of Game Not Included is using color, pattern, and shape to interpret emotions and harness them in artwork. Interactive visualization tools help students develop a motif, strengthening their emotion identification and communication skills through the process of moodboarding.
Just like a concept artist for a feature film, students learn to identify and communicate emotions by building a visual language to convey a specific feeling. Guided by deeply researched methodology for emotional skill building, Game Not Included teaches teens to see their emotional landscape as a strength.

Digital Art

Learning digital art doesn’t have to be prohibitively expensive or complicated. With so many ways to learn new software available around the web it be hard to know where to start. Game Not Included works by teaches you how to find the learning resources that are right for you and your class. A focus on low-cost, free, and/or open-source tools help you get to art-making quickly, and helps you adapt to the needs of individual students.
